WATTON YOUTH CENTRE
Not since Watton Youth Centre was built in the late 60's and extended during the 70's and 80's has so much work been done on the building and grounds.
Originally run by the community then Norfolk County Council, it is now run by Watton Town Council who own the building on land which they hold in trust
The centre has expanded its user base over the years to encompass the very young to pensioner groups. The grounds are the base for
the local CAB and the playing field is used daily by youngsters playing football.
Passing the centre, it now has a flower bed along the front and in front
of the building and planters. A new ramp has been installed
and the toilets have been altered to include showers and a disabled
toilet.
In order to cope with the extra users more chairs and tables have been
bought. The centre is a thriving part of the community
and has been brought up to date to cope with community needs into the
future.
