Watton
Twinning trip 1.5.03
On Thursday 1st May 2003 the airport at Weeze was open for its first
commercial flight.
AIRPORT NIEDERRHEIN is served
on a twice daily service from Stanstead by Ryanair.
For just over £10 each way plus tax, this service opens up this
part of Germany very cheaply
and will benefit those members and potential members of Watton
Twinning Association who want to
take up the advantages this type of high speed travel offers.
The first flight left Stanstead at 6.10a.m. and on board were Town
Mayor Marilyn Scrymgeour,
Town Councillor Richard Crabtree, Twinning Association Chairman Margaret
Devine, Chris Gunn,
Martin Anscombe and Helen Glibbery.
Pictures
of the visit follow.
