The Rotary Club of Watton & District held one of its annual awards evenings where it presented its
Vocational Service Awards
to an Individual and a Group who had, in the opinion of the Club members, worked tirelesly for the
good of the whole community. The evening was hosted by Gordon Barley
The Group Award was this year presented to Watton Pantomime Group. This Group, in its 18th year, was represented
by the Chairman, Ron Hammond and Vice Chairman, Adrian Spence. The Panto runs for 5 performances in January
each year and performs to packed houses. The first of which is for the local care homes and disabled
people in the community. After costs, each year the group make a donation to a charity chosen by the group.
The Individual Award was this year presented to Sean O'Reilly for the work he
does with young people in his work as Ranger connected with Wayland Wood
