Watton Town Council Christmas Festival
Market
For many years the Chamber of Trade have put up the lights
in the High Street
and with help of Bowes, erected the Christmas tree in
Chaston Place.
Many residents will remember the Victorian Market which
was arranged
by the Chamber to incorporate the switching on of the
town lights.
With the retirement of the Chamber secretary, Martin Anscombe,
the responsibility
for the lights has passed to the Town Council and today
a market with entertainment was held
and incorporated the switching on of the Christmas tree
lights by the Town Mayor, John Craigie.
The day was very busy and the weather although cold,
was dry.
Organisers were Councillors Graham Langford and Jess
Hookham.

watch out for 2007!
