The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Wayland Gold Group
Last year was the 50th Anniversary of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
and the 35th year The Award has been running at Wayland Community High School in Watton so it was decided that
the Gold group should carry out their Expedition training in the mountains of The French Pyrenees during July.
Led by Yvonne Ayden and Julie Fieldhouse
and other trained leaders lead the group of 14 who
had the sort of experiences they
could not have had on expedition training in this country.
