Watton Christmas Market
2nd December 2007
After many months of hard work a small committee from
Watton Town Council
staged its second Christmas Market. The High Street was
closed to allow
the many stalls to be erected and stall holders
to lay out there wares. This was done
on the morning of a very wet, cold and windy day.
Numbers were of course down from last year but many
of the stall holders reported successful days despite
the cold wind of the afternoon.
Leader of the committee, Barbara Anderson thanked the
many businesses and
individuals who made the day a success especially the
Army Cadets who put
up and took down the stalls in atrocious conditions.
The Mayor, Keith Gilbert,
switched on the Christmas lights at 4 o-clock.

Lets hope the weather is better
for 2008
