Students at Wayland Community High School
A wet and cold 3 day visit to the 1st World War Battlefields
again took place at the end of February for a group
of year 9 students
as part of a history project. Following the same format
as

were
fought over at such great loss during the war. Based
outside Ypres at Lo-Reninge
they visited many famous sights including the 'In Flanders
Fields' exhibition, the Menin Gate,
Talbot House in Poperinge, that was the start of TocH,
Tyne Cot, Essex Farm and the Yorkshire Trench.
New this year was a visit to the crater at Spanbroekmolen.
